# Bandwidth and NTP requirements

You need the following download bandwidth and node synchronization for Cortex XSOAR to operate properly.

**Bandwidth requirement**

The minimum required download bandwidth is 10Mbit/s for successful Cortex XSOAR upgrades and Marketplace operations.

**NTP requirement**

Ensure all nodes are synchronized with no NTP offset in order to prevent degraded storage performance.

### Tip

For optimal time synchronization, it is best practice to specify either a single NTP server or at least three servers. Configuring three or more servers enables establishing a quorum, which improves synchronization reliability and allows better detection and resolution of discrepancies between time sources.
