# Install a Content Pack Offline

Install Marketplace content packs offline in Cortex XSOAR 6.12.

Generally, you need an internet connection when downloading and subscribing to content packs in the Marketplace, as all of these services are in the cloud.

However, you can download content packs on a machine that has internet access and transfer them to a machine (without an internet connection) to the Marketplace, by doing one of the following:

* Install individual content packs by going to the [Marketplace](https://xsoar.pan.dev/marketplace), and select the relevant content packs to download.
* Use the [download\_packs\_and\_docker\_images](https://xsoar.pan.dev/docs/reference/articles/download-packs-offline) script to download individual content packs and docker images.

All content pack [dependencies](/xsoar-6-administrator-guide/6.12/onboard-cortex-xsoar/marketplace/content-pack-installation.md#UUID-c3848400-32ad-7aae-cafa-62036f8bfd3e_idc97b58eb-9bf1-491c-b3e4-a0fb51c08adb) are included.

Before you begin, it is recommended that you [Configure the Marketplace for Offline Installation](#UUID-4ffb8f8c-bcc1-18f7-12df-4c47fce32000) in order to maximize performance.

1. Install individual content packs.
   1. Go to [Cortex XSOAR Developer Marketplace](https://xsoar.pan.dev/marketplace).

      The Cortex XSOAR Developer Marketplace contains the same content packs that you can install in Cortex XSOAR.
   2. Click the content pack to download, as required.
   3. Click **Download with Dependencies**.
2. Go to **Marketplace**, click ![market-gear.png](https://4128117757-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2F9gZ0C5CI8Bl5Aulkp4dZ%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-e1af3121173db1bbcbe2919e27cbbe579f87ca9d%2Fc2d9fb95eec28f7839bd5d30fecd165bc5a7db57b1e47b19bbb53bade9bce039.png?alt=media) and then select **Upload Content Packs**.
3. Upload the relevant file.

**Configure the Marketplace for Offline Installation**

When installing content packs offline, it is recommended that you update server configurations to turn off marketplace synchronization in the Cloud for both the content packs and the review process. This improves system performance.

1. Select Settings → About → Troubleshooting → **Add Server Configuration**.
2. Add the following keys and values:

   | Key                            | Value       |
   | ------------------------------ | ----------- |
   | **`marketplace.sync.enabled`** | **`false`** |
3. Click **Save**.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://cortex-docs.paloaltonetworks.com/xsoar-6-administrator-guide/6.12/onboard-cortex-xsoar/marketplace/install-a-content-pack-offline.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
