Define a Role

Define a user role in Cortex XSOAR 6.13.

Cortex XSOAR includes three default roles. You can create additional roles and combine them with other roles.

1. In the Roles tab, click New.
2. Enter a name in Role name.
3. Select the required role-based permission levels.
4. Optionally map the role to an Active Directory group under AD Roles Mapping.
5. Optionally map the role to an SSO group under SAML Roles Mapping.
6. Optionally select a role under Nested Roles.
7. Optionally add a shift under Shifts.
8. Click Save.
