# Change the Default Administrator to a SAML User

Cortex XSOAR comes out-of-the-box with an administrator user (username: “admin”) configured as a [Default Administrator](/xsoar-6-administrator-guide/6.14/onboard-cortex-xsoar/users-and-roles/user-management/user-invitations/set-the-user-as-default-administrator.md). You can disable this user and use instead a SAML authenticated user as the default administrator.

1. Add a SAML user as the default administrator.
   1. Log into Cortex XSOAR as the Default Admin user.
   2. Navigate to **Settings** → **USERS AND ROLES** → **Users** and select a SAML user.
   3. Click **Roles**.
   4. Select **Set as Default Admin**.
   5. Click **Save**.
   6. Log out.
2. Log in as SAML user you set as default administrator in step 1 and do the following:
   1. Navigate to **Settings** → **USERS AND ROLES** → **Users** and select the **`admin`** user.
   2. Click **Roles**.
   3. Uncheck the **Set as Default Admin** and click **Save**.
   4. Select **`admin`** again and click **Disable**.
